How Our Reservation Program Works
Golden Beauty Kennels runs a single Master Reservation list. When you reserve a puppy with us, you're not reserving from one specific litter. You're reserving a puppy within the next 12 months, from whichever upcoming litter is the right fit for your sex preference and your position on the list.
That gives you a real answer: a puppy is coming, and we both know roughly when. It also lets us run our breeding program in a way that's healthier for our girls and gives every family who deposits a fair, transparent path to a puppy.
What the Deposit Secures (and What It Doesn't)
A $500 non-refundable deposit secures:
• Your position on our Master Reservation list, by date of deposit
• Your sex preference (Male, Female, or First Available)
• Our 12-month commitment to offer you a matching puppy
• Your price, locked at the price published on the day you deposit
The deposit does not secure:
• A specific litter, a specific pairing, or a specific dam
• A specific puppy, color, or markings
• A puppy from any one upcoming litter (including the next one)
If you have your heart set on a puppy from one specific upcoming litter and only that litter, our program isn't the right fit for you. We'd rather tell you that now than have you disappointed later.
The Five Steps
1. Apply. Fill out the Puppy Application. It tells us about your home, family, and what you're looking for in a dog.
2. Conversation. Every reservation starts with a phone or video conversation with us. No one puts a deposit down without talking to us first. This is where we make sure the program is a fit for your situation and answer every question you have.
3. Sign and deposit. If we're both a yes, you sign the Reservation Agreement, choose your sex preference, and pay the $500 deposit. Your position locks in.
4. Heat announcement. When one of our girls comes into heat and we're planning to breed her, we notify the top 12 buyers on the list. Being notified doesn't guarantee a puppy from that litter. We don't expect 12 puppies. We notify 12 because litter size and sex distribution aren't known until the puppies are born, and we want anyone with a real chance at a puppy to have the heads-up. When we notify you, we'll tell you exactly where you sit in the order. You have 7 days to either commit to that upcoming litter or pass.
5. Match. Once a litter is born, we know the actual count and the male/female split. We then match puppies to committed families in waitlist order, by sex preference, based on what we've learned about the puppies and what we know about your home.
Choosing Your Sex Preference
At the time you deposit, you choose one:
• Male only
• Female only
• First Available (either sex, whichever we offer you first)
This choice is locked. Changing it later means forfeiting your deposit and re-joining at the bottom of the list, so think it through before you decide.
The Heat Announcement and Your Window
When a dam enters heat, we email the top 12 buyers on the list. To be clear: we're not expecting 12 puppies. Our litters typically run smaller than that. We notify 12 because we don't know the actual litter size or the male/female split until the puppies are born. A litter could come in at 8 boys and 1 girl, or anywhere in between, and we want every buyer with a realistic shot at a matching puppy to know early. Your notification will include exactly where you sit on the list so you can make an informed call.
You have 7 days to respond.
• Commit. You're in for that litter. Once committed, you're obligated to accept a matching puppy from it.
• Pass. You stay on the list at your same position. Your 12-month clock resets from the pass date.
• No response in 7 days. Counts as a pass.
You can pass up to two times. On the third heat announcement where you're in the top 12, you must commit or forfeit the deposit.
If We Can't Place You Within 12 Months
If we don't offer you a puppy matching your sex preference within 12 months of your deposit date, you can choose:
• A full refund of your $500, or
• Stay on the list at your same position, with the 12-month clock extended another 12 months

Pricing
Our puppies are $3,000 plus applicable Indiana sales tax. The $500 deposit credits in full toward the purchase price, and the remaining balance, including tax, is due at pickup. Whatever price is published on the day you deposit is your locked price, even if our pricing changes later.
